MARI WILSON est une chanteuse anglaise de new-pop et de northern-soul née MARI MAC MILLAN RAMSEY le 29/09/1957 à Londres. Son groupe MARIONETTES est composé de 12 musiciens. Elle se produit ensuite en solo. Les WILSATIONS qui l'accompagnent comporte la chanteuse JULIA FORDHAM comme membre.
Son plus gros hit restera "JUST WHAT I ALWAYS WANTED" (n°8 en GB en octobre 1982 et n°11 en Irlande), extirpé de son 1er LP "SHOWPEOPLE" de 1983 produit par TONY MANSFIELD (CAPTAIN SENSIBLE, MIGUEL BOSE), le leader de NEW MUSIK.
En décembre 2002, elle épouse le producteur de séries TV, MAL YOUNG. A ne pas confondre avec la chanteuse australienne MARIE WILSON, ni avec MARY WILSON des SUPREMES ou MERI WILSON, auteur du hit "TELEPHONE MAN" en 1977.
